CERTIFIED BIOENERGETIC THERAPISTS

The Certified Bioenergetic Therapist (CBT) has been trained in a Bioenergetic Training Institute to work with psychological issues on a body level. They have completed a minimum of four years of theoretical and clinical training in Bioenergetic Analysis including extensive supervision and ongoing personal Bioenergetic Therapy with approved affiliates of the IIBA. Advanced Trainees are those who have completed the four years of training, but who have not yet completed their supervision requirements. It is anticipated that they will become certified within this next year.

In the United States, and other countries (where applicable), CBTs have met all state and/or national requirements for licensure or certification as a psychotherapist in their particular discipline. This includes having an appropriate degree, an approved internship and examinations for licensure/certification.

Certified Bioenergetic Therapists adhere to the Code of Ethics of the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis in addition to the Code of Ethics of their licensure/certification.
